Generations Behavioral Healthcare
Q: What is your redefined approach? What was the mission to start Generations? Talk about diversity in the practice – a very talked about topic.
A: Generations Behavioral Healthcare is an innovative behavioral healthcare group practice that employs a highly qualified team of independent, licensed mental health professionals. Founded in 2018, the mission of Generations was to offer high-quality behavioral healthcare to any client needing help. Generations offer the full range of behavioral healthcare services – counseling, neuropsychological assessment, and psychiatric medication management – and accept commercial health insurance and some private Medicaid plans. We also offer deeply discounted rates for clients who are uninsured, underinsured or simply choose not to use their insurance for any reason. Our preferred private pay pricing offers discounts up to 75% off of retail insurance pricing. Our redefined approach to behavioral healthcare combines the convenience, comfort, added privacy, and safety of secure video telehealth services with evidence-based practice and holistic care.
We have a team of over sixteen (16) behavioral healthcare professionals, who speak four (4) foreign languages and offer multiple therapists aligned with the LGBTQIA+ community as well as several therapists coming from the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community. Our difference is exactly in our makeup and what we do. We offer telehealth and limited in-office appointments. We accept commercial insurance but also work with Medicaid which very few private practices Statewide do – and even fewer that provide psychiatric medication management. We can accommodate appointments within 24-72 hours and have the expertise to work with children, adolescents and adults, couples, and families, and serve as a liaison with schools. Our team of professionals actively collaborates on your case to provide the best care. We never allow limited finances or enrollment in Medicaid to be a barrier to treatment. Our guiding philosophy is to provide the greatest good for the greatest number of people. Our group of professionals come from all walks of life and truly represent the clients that seek services with us. We have Veterans, immigrants, BIPOC, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, providers young and old, mothers, fathers, and business owners.
Collectively, we have over 125+ years of experience treating nearly every psychiatric condition commonly encountered in outpatient settings, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, relationship problems, family tension, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, grief/loss, post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, addiction (alcohol, drugs, internet, gambling), sexual disorders, LGBTQIA+, abuse/neglect, women’s issues, men’s issues, executive coaching, and Christian counseling.
